Volkswagen Touareg Wolfsburg Edition Released

Volkswagen Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition Arrives as the Flagship Diesel for Australia

Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles has unveiled its latest special edition for Australia, with the Volkswagen Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition set to land in local showrooms from March 2026, priced from $124,990 RRP.

Sitting at the top of the Touareg diesel line-up, the Wolfsburg Edition brings together a comprehensive suite of styling and luxury upgrades designed to mark the final chapter of this generation’s production.

As with previous Wolfsburg editions across the range, the Touareg proudly wears the iconic wolf and castle emblem, a nod to Wolfsburg, Germany, the spiritual home of Volkswagen and birthplace of the original Beetle. The badge appears on the tailgate, signalling the exclusivity of this special edition.

Visually, the Wolfsburg Edition adopts a darker, more purposeful aesthetic. It gains 21-inch Black Leeds alloy wheels alongside an extensive black styling package covering the roof rails, window surrounds, grille, front and rear bumpers, and mirror caps, giving the Touareg a noticeably more assertive road presence.

Luxury enhancements are equally comprehensive. Standard equipment now includes a panoramic sunroof, rear outboard heated seats, Dynaudio Consequence premium audio, head-up display, four-zone climate control, power door latching, passenger seat memory, and an electric steering column with driver memory, positioning the Wolfsburg Edition as one of the most fully equipped Touaregs offered locally.

Metallic paint is included as standard, with Silicon Grey and Grenadilla Black available at no extra cost. Meloe Blue premium metallic is offered as a $700 option, while Oryx White pearlescent, exclusive to the Wolfsburg Edition, is available for $2,000.

The Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition replaces the outgoing 210TDI R-Line, while all Touareg models produced for Australia will now feature “Final Edition” interior appliques. This includes the 170TDI, 210TDI Elegance and flagship Touareg R, all of which retain the model’s 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity.

Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles Head of Product Arjun Nidigallu said the Wolfsburg Edition reflects the Touareg’s role as a flagship SUV as the current generation approaches the end of its lifecycle.

“The Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition sits alongside the Touareg R as a hero model for this generation, delivering additional luxury and exclusivity,” Mr Nidigallu said.
“The Touareg continues to represent the essence of Volkswagen’s premium SUV offering, sitting confidently alongside the latest Tiguan and Tayron.”

With the widest SUV range Volkswagen has ever offered in Australia, spanning from T-Cross through to Touareg, the Wolfsburg Edition serves as a fitting send-off for one of the brand’s most accomplished large SUVs.

The Volkswagen Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition will be available nationwide from March 2026.
