All-New Palisade Pricing and Specs

Hyundai’s flagship family SUV enters a bold new era with the arrival of the all-new Palisade Hybrid — a vehicle that fuses elevated design, intelligent efficiency, and next-generation hybrid power in a way no large SUV in its class has before.

Launching in Australia exclusively as the Calligraphy Hybrid, the new Palisade brings a more refined design language, a meticulously crafted interior, and Hyundai’s most advanced hybrid powertrain to date. Buyers can choose between an 8-seat configuration or a 7-seat layout with individual second-row seats, alongside a choice of eight exterior colours and four interior themes. The new Palisade is available now from $89,900 plus ORC’s.

“All-new Palisade is a thoroughly evolved successor to an SUV that has proven a hit with families over its first five years in Australia,” said Don Romano, Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Motor Company Australia.
“It launches in the popular Calligraphy grade as our premium family flagship, bringing an electric-vehicle-like feel courtesy of a next-generation dual-motor hybrid powertrain.”

With its innovative 2.5 T-GDi Hybrid system, newly available Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, and Stay Mode for powering the cabin while parked, the all-new Palisade represents the most advanced and luxurious interpretation of Hyundai’s family SUV yet.

Design – Exterior

The all-new Palisade evolves its bold design DNA into a more sophisticated, commanding presence.
A shorter front overhang, upright windscreen, extended wheelbase, and lengthened rear section contribute to stronger proportions and more interior space, while the vertical LED DRLs and silver-coated hidden headlights create an unmistakable flagship identity.

A raised, straight beltline, sculpted wheel arches, and three-dimensional character lines add visual strength, accentuated by semi-gloss chrome D-pillar detailing and integrated bridge-type roof rails.

At the rear, vertical taillights echo the front light signature, joined by a clean, wide bumper and refined skid plate — a look that strikes the balance between urban sophistication and weekend adventure.

Completing the stance are 21-inch Calligraphy alloy wheels, exclusive to this range-topping variant.

Interior & Technology

Inside, the Palisade Hybrid feels more boutique lounge than family hauler. Drawing inspiration from premium furniture design, Hyundai’s designers have created a cabin that exudes warmth, precision, and space.

A new panoramic curved display seamlessly merges a 12.3-inch digital cluster with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, presented within a clean horizontal dashboard layout that enhances the feeling of width. Beneath it sits a tactile centre fascia combining physical controls with touch inputs, and a 12-inch head-up display projects key data directly into the driver’s line of sight.

The redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, column-type gear selector, and island-style centre console elevate ergonomics and storage. Cupholders, USB-C ports, and wireless charging are all thoughtfully integrated, while the absence of a conventional gear lever frees up generous usable space.

Seating is available in 8-seat or 7-seat (captain’s chair) configurations, both featuring Hyundai’s Relaxation Comfort Seats — designed to create a near-zero-gravity posture for deep rest when stationary. The Ergo Motion Driver’s Seat uses adaptive air pockets for tailored support, while power-operated third-row seats can slide, recline, and fold flat via convenient luggage-area controls.

Key Interior Highlights

  • Front & Second-Row Relaxation Comfort Seats with adjustable tilt and recline

  • One-Touch Walk-In Access for easy third-row entry

  • Increased Cabin Dimensions with best-in-class second- and third-row legroom

  • Cargo Space: 348 L behind the third row, expanding to 729 L when folded

Sumptuous materials, intuitive technology, and exquisite detailing make the all-new Palisade Hybrid a true benchmark for Hyundai’s large-SUV craftsmanship.

Powertrain & Performance

At the heart of the all-new Palisade lies Hyundai’s next-generation 2.5-litre Turbo Hybrid powertrain, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This innovative setup outperforms the previous 3.8-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel options, delivering greater power, torque, and fuel efficiency — all with a smoother, more EV-like drive feel.

Unlike traditional hybrids that rely on a single electric motor for both propulsion and regeneration, Hyundai’s dual-motor hybrid system assigns one motor to energy recuperation and the other exclusively to driving the wheels. The result? Sharper response, refined transitions, and superb efficiency.

Together, the hybrid engine and electric motors create an experience that feels genuinely electrified — quiet, confident, and remarkably efficient. Regenerative braking extends all-electric driving capability, while intelligent systems such as Smart Regenerative Braking automatically adjust energy recovery based on traffic conditions.

Beyond the daily commute, Palisade Hybrid retains real-world practicality with a 2,000 kg braked towing capacity, combining family versatility with genuine long-distance confidence.

e-Motion Drive & Dynamic Technologies

Hyundai’s e-Motion Drive system takes hybrid performance to new heights, actively managing weight transfer, pitch, and balance for a smoother, more composed drive.

Two key modes define its character:

  • e-Comfort Drive – Uses electric-motor counter-torques to smooth out rebound impacts over speed bumps and reduce pitch under acceleration or braking, creating a plush, stable ride.

  • e-Dynamic Drive – Enhances agility through functions like Evasive Handling Assist (e-EHA), e-Handling for sharper corner entry and exit, and Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control (e-DTVC), which fine-tunes motor torque during turns for greater precision.

Further refinement comes from Crosswind Stability Control, which compensates for strong side winds using brake and steering interventions — ensuring Palisade remains calm and stable, even at highway speeds.

Chassis & Ride Comfort

The all-new Palisade’s suspension has been meticulously tuned to balance comfort, control, and refinement. As part of Hyundai’s global development program, engineers from Korea collaborated directly with the Hyundai Motor Company Australia team to deliver a bespoke local damper tune — specifically optimised for the diverse and challenging road conditions unique to Australia.

A lightweight strut-type front suspension with a reinforcing strut ring enhances steering precision, while the multi-link rear setup features passive self-levelling dampers to maintain composure under heavy loads.

The introduction of rack-mounted electric power steering (R-MDPS) with a revised ratio sharpens response, while a 0.31 drag coefficient — achieved through aerodynamic detailing like underbody panels, active air flaps, and a tapered boat-tail body shape — improves efficiency and high-speed stability.

Enhanced NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) insulation, acoustic glass, and larger sound-deadening pads create a serene in-cabin atmosphere, particularly for rear passengers.

Safety & SmartSense

The Palisade Hybrid represents Hyundai’s most advanced safety evolution yet. Its body structure now uses a higher percentage of hot-stamped high-strength steel, improving rigidity and crash performance.

A total of eight airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag and front centre side airbag, form part of a comprehensive safety package supported by Hyundai SmartSense™ technology.

Key SmartSense Features:

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 (FCA 2) – Detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, offering braking support in complex situations like junction turning and lane changes.

  • Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) and Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) – Provide visual alerts and live side-camera feeds to expand visibility.

  • Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) and Lane Following Assist 2 (LFA 2) – Maintain distance, lane centring, and adaptive steering for relaxed highway travel.

  • Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) – Adjusts speed automatically when approaching bends or junctions.

  • Safe Exit Assist (SEA) – Prevents rear doors from opening into oncoming traffic when vehicles are approaching.

  • Driver Monitoring System – Detects drowsiness or distraction using in-cabin facial recognition.

Together, these technologies deliver intelligent, proactive safety — designed to protect families before, during, and after impact.

Convenience, Connectivity & Everyday Luxury

Beyond its electrified performance, the Palisade Hybrid is defined by effortless everyday usability and luxury-class technology.

Digital Key 2 allows owners to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle using their smartphone or smartwatch, while Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality provides 3.6 kW of onboard power to charge or operate devices — from laptops to camping gear.

Stay Mode lets occupants use the infotainment and climate systems while stationary, powered by the hybrid battery with the engine off — ideal for school pick-ups, events, or road-trip stops.

Cabin convenience extends to six 100 W USB-C ports, a rear camera cleaning system, UV-C sterilised console, Digital Centre Mirror, and a 14-speaker BOSE premium audio system tuned for rich, immersive sound.

Hyundai’s latest Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) introduces advanced infotainment with biometric recognition, voice control, and Over-The-Air (OTA) updates now covering up to 42 vehicle features, ensuring Palisade evolves long after delivery.

Conclusion

Blending bold design, serene comfort, and cutting-edge hybrid technology, the all-new Hyundai Palisade Hybrid sets a new benchmark for large-SUV refinement. It delivers genuine electric-like driving experiences without compromise — engineered for the realities of Australian life.

With premium craftsmanship, intuitive technology, and an unwavering focus on safety, the new Palisade represents Hyundai’s confident step into the next generation of family mobility.
