Ford Ranger Super Duty Price and Specs

Ford Australia has officially announced pricing and specification details for the highly anticipated Ranger Super Duty Cab-Chassis range, with prices starting from $82,990 Manufacturer List Price (MLP)

Built for those who demand serious strength—whether on construction sites, in the agricultural sector, across rugged mining operations, or as part of emergency response fleets—the Ranger Super Duty sets a new benchmark for capability, toughness, and integrated technology in the mid-size truck segment.³

Engineered for Extremes

Designed, engineered, and tested to perform in the harshest conditions, the Ranger Super Duty Cab-Chassis variants are purpose-built to tow more, haul more, and go further than any competitor in its class.³ It’s the ultimate workhorse for Australia’s toughest industries and most demanding adventurers.

From upgraded suspension and axles, reinforced chassis, and front and rear differential locks, to its smart sealed snorkel and integrated on-board scales, every component has been refined to deliver superior performance and utility. The inclusion of an integrated device mounting point and tailored accessories further enhances the Ranger Super Duty’s jobsite versatility.

“We know our customers need a truck that can take on the toughest challenges,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO of Ford Australia.
“Ranger Super Duty delivers massive towing, payload, and GCM capabilities—helping hard-working Australians get the job done, no matter the conditions.”

Heavy-Duty Payload & Towing Performance

At the heart of the Ranger Super Duty’s capability is its outstanding weight-carrying and towing performance:

  • Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM): 4,500kg²

  • Maximum Braked Towing Capacity: 4,500kg⁵ (with genuine Ford tow pack)

  • Gross Combined Mass (GCM): 8,000kg²

Payload capacities by model:

  • Single Cab-Chassis: Up to 1,982kg

  • Super Cab-Chassis: Up to 1,896kg

  • Double Cab-Chassis: Up to 1,825kg

These figures are supported by upgraded Gross Axle Weight Ratings:

  • Front Axle: 1,900kg

  • Rear Axle: 2,800kg

Power & Efficiency with the 3.0L V6 Turbo-Diesel

Under the bonnet lies Ford’s durable 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine, now calibrated specifically for the Ranger Super Duty to meet stringent EUVI heavy-duty emissions standards, including the use of AdBlue. Despite this, the engine retains its full output:

  • 154kW of power @ 3,250 rpm

  • 600Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm

Backing this powertrain is a new heavy-duty cooling system, offering a 25% increase in efficiency over existing Ranger variants—ensuring consistent pulling power and thermal performance even under maximum GVM and GCM loads.
