Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) is celebrating a milestone quarter, with the 25MY MU-X achieving record-breaking sales since its arrival in March 2025. The facelifted 7-seat SUV has resonated strongly with Australian buyers, cementing its reputation as a capable, versatile, and family-focused choice in the large SUV segment.

After finishing 2024 as Australia’s 6th best-selling 4x4 overall – and the 3rd best-selling vehicle in the “SUV Large < $80K” segment – MU-X momentum has accelerated in 2025. With stock of the outgoing 24MY limited early in the year, the arrival of the updated 25MY MU-X has sparked unprecedented demand.

Record-Breaking Sales Performance

The launch of the 25MY MU-X has delivered a surge of sales across the IUA Dealer Network:

1,643 units delivered in May
2,033 units in June – an all-time monthly record
1,635 units in July

Together, these figures mark the first time Isuzu UTE has delivered more than 5,000 MU-X vehicles in any three-month period – with a total of 5,311 units between May and July 2025.

Demand for the flagship MU-X X-TERRAIN has been particularly strong, reflecting Australian buyers’ appetite for premium comfort paired with genuine off-road capability.

Strong Demand Across Australia

Building on a Strong Foundation

In 2024, Isuzu UTE delivered 17,978 MU-X vehicles, making it Australia’s 15th best-selling vehicle overall. Current demand suggests that 2025 could surpass this record, pending supply volumes.

To meet this growing demand, IUA has been working closely with Isuzu internationally to increase MU-X production for the Australian market, with additional stock confirmed from September.

The introduction of Isuzu UTE Finance and Isuzu UTE Insurance earlier this year further simplifies the customer journey, offering buyers convenient and competitive solutions available through the national Dealer Network.
