GWM Launches All-New Haval H7

GWM is strengthening its SUV presence in Australia with the arrival of the all-new Haval H7. A bold, hybrid-powered, five-seat SUV that slots neatly between the H6 and the off-road-ready Tank 300.

Exclusively available in the Vanta trim, the H7 brings GWM’s signature all-black aesthetic to the medium SUV segment, offering a stylish, spacious, and efficient alternative for families and weekend adventurers alike.

A Confident New Contender

At first glance, the H7 strikes a more rugged tone than its H6 sibling. Boxy proportions, round LED headlights, a squared-off fascia, and upright stance lend it a confident presence, both in the school run queue and on the open road.

Vanta spec brings the stealth factor: 19-inch machined alloys, blacked-out badging, black grille, mirror caps, roof rails, window trims — even smoked taillights. It's a slick package designed to turn heads while blending in with the cityscape.

Hybrid Power Without the Fuss

Under the bonnet is GWM’s 1.5-litre turbocharged hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined 179kW and a healthy 530Nm through a dedicated hybrid transmission. Power is sent to the front wheels only — which might disappoint off-road purists, but makes for a smart choice in the urban jungle.

Fuel economy is a standout, with a claimed 5.7L/100km combined, and the hybrid setup offers smooth, quiet operation whether crawling in traffic or cruising on the highway.

A Cabin Built for Active Lifestyles

Inside, the Haval H7 is all about space and smart thinking. The five-seat layout offers ample room for passengers, with thoughtful storage touches like a removable boot floor that doubles as a picnic table. There’s plenty of headroom and great visibility thanks to the SUV’s squared-off design.

Tech-wise, the H7 impresses with a configurable digital driver display, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, an integrated head-up display, and multiple charging points to keep the crew connected. A panoramic sunroof adds an airy, premium feel to the interior.

Safety Comes Standard

GWM hasn’t skimped on safety. The H7 comes loaded with a comprehensive safety suite:

  • 7 airbags

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking

  • Adaptive Cruise Control

  • Lane Keep Assist

  • Blind Spot Monitoring

  • 360-degree camera system with transparent chassis view

  • Auto Parking Assist and Reverse Assist

Whether you’re manoeuvring through tight parking lots or out exploring the back roads, the H7’s safety tech has your back.

Peace of Mind with GWM Care

Like all new GWM models, the H7 is covered by the GWM Care program:

  • 7-year/unlimited km warranty

  • 8-year/unlimited km battery warranty

  • 5 years roadside assistance

  • 5 years capped price servicing

More details, including ANCAP rating and specific service pricing, will be confirmed closer to the on-sale date.
