Genesis G80 Black revealed

Genesis has unveiled the updated 2026 G80 line-up, now led by the refined and exclusive G80 Black.

The latest G80 retains its elegant proportions while adopting the “Signature” naming structure to align with the broader Genesis portfolio. Three models will be offered: the 2.5T rear-wheel drive Signature, the 3.5T all-wheel drive Signature Sport, and the flagship 3.5T AWD G80 Black.

Positioned as the ultimate expression of Genesis’ “Athletic Elegance” design language, the G80 Black showcases an obsessive focus on detail. Designers experimented with multiple finishes and textures to perfect its monochrome aesthetic, ensuring each element interacted seamlessly with light and surrounding materials.

Exclusively finished in a black exterior over black Nappa leather interior, the G80 Black adds unique design cues including a dark-tinted G-Matrix grille, black-chrome badging, black 20-inch floating-cap wheels, and monoblock brake calipers. Inside, the cabin is defined by quilted black leather with exclusive piping, brass-grain highlights within real black ash wood trim, black aluminium speaker grilles, and a bespoke user interface with unique welcome and goodbye animations.

In line with Genesis’ sustainability commitments, the G80 Black incorporates eco-friendly materials such as leather dyed with carbon black derived from recycled tyres, components coloured with natural extracts, carpets produced using recycled fishing nets, and mats woven from beechwood fibres.

All 2026 G80 models are covered by a 5-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, along with complimentary scheduled servicing for 5 years/75,000 km and Genesis Concierge Services, including courtesy vehicles and at-home pick-up. Customers also benefit from 5 years of 24/7 roadside assistance, extended to 10 years when vehicles are serviced within the Genesis network.

Pricing starts from $104,200 for the G80 2.5T Signature RWD, and heads up to $127,200 for the 3.5T Signature Sport AWD, with the sole factory option of Matte Paint at an additional cost of $2,000.

“The striking new G80 Black adds even greater sophistication to our sedan portfolio,” said Justin Douglass, Head of Genesis Motors Australia. “With a broad choice of powertrains, richly equipped grades, and a dramatic new flagship, the 2026 G80 has strong appeal for discerning customers.”
